Introduction:
Experiencing and understanding skeletal construction is important as it is one of the most widely used structures for building support. As a designer we should know how skeletal structure works. Skeletal structure provides the load bearing resistance of the structure and supports the secondary elements.
Objectives:
The objectives of this project are as follows:
-
To create an understanding of skeletal structure and its relevant structural components.
-
To understand how a skeletal structure reacts under loading.
-
To demonstrate a convincing understanding of how Skeletal Construction works.
-
To be able to manipulate Skeletal Construction to solve an oblique Design problem.
Learning Outcomes :
Learning outcomes assessed in this project include:
-
Apply construction system in design.
-
Recognize the implication of construction systems in design.
-
Analyse the issues of strength, stiffness and stability of structures including modes of structural systems, forces, stress and strain and laws of static.

Document Of Project 1
In this project, I leant how to construct a posicle tower with stick by without using the glue. Besides that, i also able to apply construction system in design and recognize the implication of construction systems in design. I also can analyse the issues of strength, stiffness and stability of structures including modes of structural systems, forces, stress and strain and laws of static.
Project 2: Understanding Forces in Solid Structure and Surface Structure
Introduction:
A building will normally comprise several different types of structural systems, either due to its function or building code requirements. As designers it is very important that you understand when and where each of the different type of structural system is used.Solid and surface construction method is one of the most widely used structures for building support. Solid and surface structure provides the required load bearing resistance and aesthetics required by designers.
Objectives:
The objectives of this project are as follows:
•To create an understanding of solid structure and surface structure and its relevant structural components.
•To understand how a solid structure and surface structure reacts under loading.
•To demonstrate a convincing understanding of how Solid Construction and surface construction works.
•To exploit the qualities inherent in Solid Construction and surface construction.
•To be able to manipulate Solid Construction and surface construction to solve an oblique Design problem.
Learning Outcomes:
Learning outcomes assessed in this project include:
•Identifications of basic structural systems in construction
•Compare solid and surface construction systems.
•Differentiate solid and surface construction systems in terms of loads and forces acting on structural elements.
•Recognize and apply the implications of construction system in design.
•Analyse the issues of strength, stiffness and stability of structures including modes of structuralbsystems, forces, stress and strain and laws of static.
Frei Otto Olympic Stadium
We are doing the Surface Construction, Frei Otto Olympic Stadium. It is a stadium located in Munich, Germany. Situated at the heart of theOlympiapark München in northern Munich, the stadium was built as the main venue for the 1972 Summer Olympics.

Individual Work:
In Project 2, I learnt that the identifications of basic structural systems in construction and compare solid and surface construction systems. Second, I learnt the differentiate solid and surface construction systems in terms of loads and forces acting on structuralelements. Besides that, i also recognize and apply the implications of construction system in design and analyse the issues of strength, stiffness and stability of structures including modes of structuralsystems, forces, stress and strain and laws of static. It was an interesting project!
